I imagine you are right - some will just keep their prices at current levels. However, if some drop them, eventually others may be forced to for competition sake. When the retailer receives their goods a % is added to the delivery price to calculate the shelf price.<br /><br />The initial reduction in price may not be very significant for some retailers as they may have eaten some of the increase (lower % of profit)to keep the shock value down to the consumer. The other issue is how much product a retailer has on hand at the old tax rate. It may take some time to go down to a lower shelf price. Which may lead some to believe that certain shops may just keep the price the same and reap the rewards of have a higher % of mark up.The Wild Scotsmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18436169353300682669noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8921069825964741149.post-10296741370550990452011-02-06T14:40:50.703-06:002011-02-06T14:40:50.703-06:00Yeah, that's what I was thinking too.Yeah, that's what I was thinking too.~Sonja~https://www.blogger.com/profile/14056245701542185828noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8921069825964741149.post-45794366151423353672011-02-06T14:32:02.755-06:002011-02-06T14:32:02.755-06:00"If they get a big fat refund, do you suppose..."If they get a big fat refund, do you suppose Wirtz Beverage will pass that back to the retailers?"<br /><br />I believe "when pigs fly" is the correct answer.Chuck Cowderyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12191121480961526039noreply@blogger.com
